NEET UG: then NTA conducted a retest for 1563 selected Students who were initially awarded Grace marks after cleaning their lost exam time.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) today (July 1st) release the result of the National Eligibility come Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 retest, which was held for 1563 Students. Students who appeared for the retest can now check their score on the official website – exam.nta.ac.in/NEET/.
The final answer key for the NEET UG retest was released around 1:30 p.m. on June 30.
The NTA had conducted a retest for the selected 1563 Students, who were initially awarded Grace marks after claiming they suffered a loss of exam. Official stated that as many as 813 of the 1563 Students appeared for the retest. While the retest was conducted in the same six cities, it was held at different centres.
None of the 813 Students code 720/720, reducing the toppers Tally from 67 to 61, according to NTA sources. 5 out of the 6 Students who had earlier received a perfect score of 720/720 appear for the retest on June 23. However they still achieved high score upwards of 680.
According to the data, none of the two students from Chhattisgarh appeared for the exam. A total of 291 students out of 602 appear from Chhattisgarh, one student from Gujarat, 287 out of 494 from Haryana, and 234 from Tura in Meghalaya.
The affected students were given a choice to their retain their original score (i.e. without Grace marks) or appear for the retest. The student who appeared for the retest on June 23 will be issued a revised score. However, the student who script the retest will now be awarded their old original score, which is the score without the grace marks.
There are several other petition regarding NEET UG 2024 result in the Supreme Court, the majority of which will now be heard on July 8. Meanwhile, the Centre is now considering the possibility of holding NEET UG online for next year, senior officials have told The Sunday Express.
